Hi, fellow amigurumi makers! In this post down below you will find my pattern for my new cow amigurumi pattern! Her name is Rosie and she loves wearing dresses and has a rose pattern to add to her head or front leg to hold! Great little valentine’s day idea for cow lovers all year long! The finished piece is approximately 10 inches tall. But keep in mind different tensions, yarn and hooks can alter the size to your liking. I can’t wait to share with you all more of Rosie’s friends who love wearing a dress! Happy crocheting!
If you would like to purchase an ad-free version of Rosie’s pattern you can find it HERE in my Etsy shop for easy download and it’s a printer-friendly PDF
This pattern and the pictures are the property of Ariana Hall and may not be altered, shared, or sold. Read Before beginning
- STITCH MARKER – You will be working in rounds so keep a stitch marker close to use when working up the doll. Unless otherwise stated to CH and turn. They will mark the 1st st of each round. I use scrap yarn pieces.
- TENSION – Make sure you use a tight enough tension to help close any “holes” a loose tension may cause. I crochet yarning under then Over to create a tighter stitch. Go down a hook size if needed. ( my tension is naturally tight)
- PATTERN- (Example – *SC in 8, INV DEC in the next. Repeat from * to the end. (36) ) You will end that round with the second step of what that round instructs. This will vary.
- ASSEMBLY – The amigurumi is worked up by first making two legs then joining together. I have a YOUTUBE VIDEO on how to do that https://youtu.be/h4A5-Lm-yPM . Then you work up the body and head. Other body parts are made and sewn on after.
- POLY- FIL – Stuff using small amounts at a time so it doesn’t create dense spots. Add a little extra in the neck area for support.
The pattern is set up to crochet and sew on as you go. Directions for piece placements are at the end of each piece. 🙂

With black yarn embroider eyes & eyelashes as seen below on both sides. I use Rounds 50 & 51 for the eyes. 7 stitch spaces apart. Make sure they are aligned with the mouthpiece.
Blush is optional. I use cosmetic grade blush (ELF pink blush) with a small brush and added a little bit at a time, right below the eye. You can also use pink yarn as an option.

8 SC in a MC
Join in the 1st SC made. Ch 2, 2 DC in that same space. Sl st in the next st. *2 DC in the next st, Sl st in the next*. Repeat from * to *. ( 4 petals & 4 sl sts) Fasten off and leave a long tail to sew on the left leg and the right lower side of the face as shown.
Rose + Leaf + Stem
Red yarn for rose
Rose pattern Make 2 – one for the head and the other for the rose sewed on the hand.
CH 26
SC in 2nd ch from the hook. *3 DC in the next chain space, then sl st in the next 2 chain spaces* Repeat from *to* ending with 2 sl st’s. Leave a long tail to sew the petals together.
Start rolling the petals together starting with the end that has the SC. Placing the petals against each other. When you are finished, sew through the bottom of the petals to hold the flower shape. Do this by turning the flower with the wrong side facing you. I did this by going in a circle to make secure everything together.
Fasten off and weave in the end for the rose being attached to the stem and leaf. Leave a long tail for the rose being used as a hairpiece to sew on the head.
Leaf Pattern – Make 1
