CROCHET HANGING BASKET

Hello! I am so excited to be sharing with you this hanging basket I made for some plant addition at home! They have so many uses, because this one is slightly deeper they make great storage for your hooks, pens, glasses, and more! I was walking around Michaels, as one does in some random kid-free time, and found this adorable little 3 inch Heritage Glass jar. I knew I wanted to make a hanging basket for it but secure so it doesn’t fall out.

For that, I highly recommend making a gauge swatch so it fits the same glass jar as a glove. When hanging the basket I am considering changing up my nail on the wall for a small metal hanging hook to make sure it doesn’t slide off.

If you would like to make this bigger you can adjust it by sizing up your hook and yarn.

To insert the jar into the basket, I slide the bottom of the jar in through the front of the basket, it may feel a little snug, then I hold the front with my thumb and pull up back portion to help slide the jar in.

Finished basket laying flat meausures:

from the top of the loop to the bottom – 8.5 inches

4.5 inches wide.
