HOW TO CROCHET A CARROT HAIRCLIP

February 22, 2022 by Ariana Hall Leave a Comment

I was making small carrot props for the crochet bunnies and stumbled upon the idea of making a hair clip for my daughter for Easter and this is the final result! Happy to be sharing with you the crochet carrot hairclip I have made for my daughter. They are so quick and easy to put together! All you need are a few simple materials including that handy dandy hot glue gun that never disappoints! The carrot is worked from the bottom up, single crocheting around then adding the four quick leaves on the top.

I have even included a link to the video I made of me making this from start to finish! All together without the editing, takes about 15 minutes to make one hairclip! So if you are making bunnies these would be a great addition to them as well!

Now that you have made your carrot make sure to have all your ends weaved in before gluing the hairclip on. The clip may get hot so be careful.

Place the carrot you just made with the wrong side facing up. Apply glue to the top of the hair clip and make sure to apply pressure to make sure the glue really adheres to the yarn fibers for a stronghold.

The glue should not be showing through the stitches.

Apply glue to the top of the hair clip

Place the carrot you just made with the wrong side facing up and placed the hairclip with glue in the center, applying pressure.
