HUGGY LOVEY – UNICORN KITTY CROCHET PATTERN

It’s a little interesting how this came to be. Well… not that interesting, lol but it wasn’t meant to be a kitty. See, it was supposed to be a unicorn and when I was un-successful I turned it into a kitty. Then with the help of my kids and their incredible imagination, they still wanted to keep the unicorn horn on! I was so shocked that it actually worked and made sense to make the kitty be a unicorn. It’s different and that’s what my kids liked most bout it.

My daughter has wanted to get a kitty for a few years now, she loves them! I, on the other hand, am a little afraid of adult cats. I feel they will sense my fear and jump at me with their sharp claws. lol. I know not all would but I’m not taking any chances, and honestly, I am allergic. No really! I was a volunteer at a dog shelter and they needed help with the cats so I thought it would be a great idea to get over my fear but the allergies kicked in and then that’s when I knew. But I love kittens, they are adorable.

So that brings me to my daughter’s new kitty, The Unicorn Kitty. The first of my Huggy Lovey collection! Which I am SO excited about!!!! So stay tuned!!

I hope you all enjoy making this super quick ami for your little loved one! With more to come!

Notes:

There are a few things to keep in mind with this pattern. It is an advanced beginner level.

Techniques such as single crochet in the front loop only, decrease, color change, working in the round, and sewing the parts being used to make this lovey.

The eyes have 6 stitches in between each of them and are placed between the 9th and 10th row down from the center.

The nose I simply wrap it around 2 stitches 3 times.

I hope you enjoyed making this HUGGY Lovey as much as I did creating for everyone to enjoy!
