This Sarah and Duck crochet pattern was such an incredible project! Before starting on this, I had never seen Sarah and Duck. I’ll admit it is a bit strange, but kids seem to like it. Sarah, the young girl, and her duck go on adventures and help each other learn new things around their world and have fun. It is quite fascinating, and I recommend watching it one day!
I made this as a custom order for a neighbor that really wanted me to make them one of these. She looked everywhere for this duck and requested someone to make it for her son so they could wrap it up and have him open it on Christmas day! I thought that was so sweet, and the boy needed to have his duck, so I offered to make it for them.
Be warned; this crochet pattern is not for the faint of heart. I made the mistake of rushing this project, but you should take your time.
The pattern instructions are very detailed. It includes pictures to help with the rows for quick reference and lets you know what it should be looking like as you are going along.
There are many pieces to assemble, but it feels so good sewing everything at the end and leaves you feeling so accomplished. It looked great once I finished putting it all together, and I couldn’t be happier. If you are looking for this particular duck, or just because it is a cute duck, then I highly recommend this pattern. I do not remember any time where I felt confused during the project, but be sure to read the instructions thoroughly so that you know what the designer is instructing you to do when you get to a specific row.
