My name is Ariana and I have never made a drink coaster, until now! Mug warmers/mug cozies have always been a favorite and I knew a drink coaster was missing. The Lion Brand Comfy Cotton Blend really inspired me to create a beautiful bobble stitch incorporated drink coaster. Speaking about yarn, here are my thoughts when selecting the right one for this pattern.
I tried both Chai Latte (as shown in the photo) and Whipped Cream. The Chai Latte was held its shape better than the lighter color. I believe it has to do with the color process but that is just my speculation. The yarn is a light yarn weight and it definitely is as soft as they say it is. I had no problem working with it and one skein allows for several small projects! So if you are looking to use up your lightweight cotton yarn, you might want to try this pattern out!
This pattern was also inspired by my very large coffee mugs, therefore, this drink coaster measures about 6”X 6″.
Happy Crocheting!!
