Hey everyone! In this post, I am talking all about the Flower Puff Shawl by Wilma Westenberg!
I really fell in love with this pattern the first time I laid my eyes on it on her Instagram account. (@wilmawestenberg)
The shawl pattern along with many others are available for free on her blog www.wilmade.com but she also has ad-free PDF versions on her Etsy shop linked here.
I personally purchased her PDF because it is also a way of me supporting makers and I know the time and effort it takes to create one. I highly recommended it because it helped keep everything in one place and it has everything you need.
She also has a YouTube video that helps you along the way to accomplish this shawl.
For my own experiment and available yarn on hand, I went a little larger in hook and yarn weight but the finished product is still beautiful and I am very happy with the results!
I used two cakes from Premier DK colors in color Nimbus.
I used a clover USA H 8 – 5mm hook
Blocking is super important and she does a great job explaining ways on how to do that.
I have a review up on my YouTube channel as well if you would prefer to hear me talk about this more in-depth. Everything is linked in the description box below the video and at the end of this blog post as well.
I really enjoyed working on this shawl! I think I would wear it much more like a scarf but I love it! It has a beautiful texture and would make a wonderful gift for these chilly time of year!
Happy Crocheting!
